ThePaladinTech Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 So - in `file-protection` `pool file duplication` I have it currently set to 2 ... My dumb ? is does this mean I have 3 copies (the original and 2 copies) of the file or 2 (original and a copy)? If the answer is 3 total can i change the setting to 1 and will it update the pool? 1 Umfriend Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 With DP, we don't talk about original and copies. You can have either a single instance of each file, that is x1. If x2, then you have two duplicates. So if you want two copies of each file, x2 is the way to go. Quote
0 Christopher (Drashna) Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 ^ This. The level of duplication is the number of instances of files you have. x1 means just one of the file, unduplicated. x2 meaning 2 of the files, and so on. And any time you change the levels, it will run a duplcation pass, and ensure that whichever files are at the correct number of instances that they should be at. That means copying or deleting files, depending on what you changed. Quote
