0 Christopher (Drashna)
And all is "done" for now. Had the stents removed and the drain removed (last month, actually). And I'm doing fine now. Still need to be careful about how much fat I eat, but that's a good thing (IMO). Spider99
0 marquis6461
Glad you finally got thru yours. How about if they put you on the table, Cut you open, root around for about 10 minutes and then sew you back up. Wake you back up and tell you they can't take your gallbladder. Don't give you a reason but CAN'T. Then later you find out that the ulcer you had was causing the problem because it was at the lowest part of your stomach close to where your bile duct is. It's been so long since then, I didn't want to talk about it. It's been over 6 years now and I haven't had a great meal yet. Count your blessings. Not everyone that cuts you open is a great doctor. They play the laws of averages also. If they make a mistake, their insurance pays for it. The patent just dies.
0 Christopher (Drashna)
I can only imagine how much that sucks. I had to live with the gall stone issue for 6 months, and that was a royal PITA. And yeah, medicine is pretty much just troubleshooting, though the stakes are higher.
