Glauco Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Hi, I have folder set to duplication, and I'd like to remove subfolders from duplication, but using wildcard. For example, /folder1 (2x) /folder1/subfolderX/rejected /folder1/subfolderX/selected /folder1/subfolderY/rejected /folder1/subfolderY/selected /folder1/subfolderZ/rejected /folder1/subfolderZ/selected I what to remove all "rejected" subfolders from duplication. Is it possíble? I know I can go through each of the and remove, but there are too many of them. Thanks. Quote
0 Christopher (Drashna) Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Not through the UI, aside from manually, which may be very, very time consuming. However, the "dpcmd" utility should have an option to do this. Quote
0 Glauco Posted September 20, 2021 Author Posted September 20, 2021 Yes, I do have many "rejected" folder all over the place. It will indeed take me a lot of time to remove them. If I can do it via command line, it would be fine for me. Thanks Quote
0 Glauco Posted October 8, 2021 Author Posted October 8, 2021 So, any clues? Is there a documentation on this "dpcmd" command? Quote
0 Jonibhoni Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Actually, I just tried it and I find the command-line documentation quite comprehensive. If you have DrivePool 2.X installed, just open a command prompt with admin rights and type dpcmd set-duplication-recursive A help will be shown with examples etc. Seems like indeed this tool can help you with your task. I have folder set to duplication, and I'd like to remove subfolders from duplication, but using wildcard.
For example,
/folder1 (2x)

/folder1/subfolderY/selected
/folder1/subfolderZ/rejected
/folder1/subfolderZ/selected
I what to remove all "rejected" subfolders from duplication.
