GiuseppeChillemi
Hi, as far I have understood, DrivePool stores Pool data structure on C: What shoud I do If I recover a previous C: partition backup using an backup image ? I suppose Pool Data and C: data will be out of sync after a recovery. Giuseppe Chillemi
0 Umfriend
AFAIK, metadata is all stored in the PoolPart.xxxx folders on the Pool HDDs itself. In fact, you can simply take all HDDs out of your machine, connect them to another PC with DrivePool and it will recognise the Pool instantly. 0 Christopher (Drashna)
The pool itself is generated "at run time". Meaning that when you query a disk, the list is generated from the disks right then (and then cached in memory). Additionally, duplication information is stored on the pooled disks (and on each of the disks). As is information about the reparse points. Balancing settings and performance options are stored on the C:\ drive. These are the only things that would get affected by a restore. Otherwise, there should be no issue restoring the system drive.
