  1. Just seems like an inefficient way. If we are allowed two upload threads why are these threads not uploading all the time? I have "Upload Verification" turn off so what is the the hold up?

Here is a screenshot of what i am seeing.

    jMs2Co0.jpg

This is with 2 upload threads and 4 download.

  2. I tested on a 100/100 connection with 50 MB chunks and i see long pauses between threads even when upload verification is turned off.

I would be interested to know whats going on also.

I will add that it is on ACD with 2 threads.

  3. They have explained this before. It can grow bigger when you are putting data in but will only cache that much when pulling back down.

What do you want to happen, the robocopy to freeze or hang? that seems like a way way way worse situation then knowingly overfilling the local cache and it working seamlessly in the background. :)

  4. From my experience (on .419 at the time) there is around a ~100s timeout at which the upload is aborted. This is what I saw at least with 100mb blocks. It would be nice to be able to define this (or have it scale with chunk size), but I then went to 50mb blocks and all is good.

I guess this is my opinion also. Why are timeouts happening while data is still being moved.

My connection while not great is stable. 5 megabit'ish

It just doesn't make any sense that a 1MB chunk gets uploaded perfectly fine while a 2MB chunk times out while still being sent.

  5. It looks like today the download speeds are much better.  I just need to figure out the best settings to get media to start streaming a little quicker.  Right now it takes about 20 seconds before media starts playing but it plays great once it does start.  Anybody have any suggestions on setting changes for Prefetching etc?

I would think that would have more to do with the chunksize....

the default prefetch seems to be pretty good in respect to playing videos. and even on my slow connection with 1 MB chunksize my videos start playing in about 2 seconds.

  6. Saw the new beta and thought i would play with it. .421

I made a ACD drive with a 10MB chunk and literally couldn't upload a single block it just always throws the error http status conflict.

The 1MB chunks work fine. Been using them for days with zero errors

    Thoughts?

    *EDIT*

Anything larger then 1MB would throw these errors. But smaller blocks i was able to get into the cloud. Is it a potential timeout issue? and these bigger blocks i am not beating the allowed timeout or something?

If that is the case why are timeouts happening on data that is actually still in transit.

  7. Awesome... Most everything I mentioned is already addressed. I will have to try those tips.

About those drive labels is it possible to change after they are created? I am not at my machines to check. They would be handy.

  8. So i have been using it a bit more in the fashion that i would like to use it.

A few minor pain points in what i am doing.

First i am mounting and unmounting drives on two different machines. It is always telling me that it is attached on the other computer when it is not. It would nice nice if there was a file or something that in place when a clean detach happened so it just knew it wasn't attached. (This would be on the Cloud Side so both machines know)

That brings me to the next point is that i have no real clue as to which drive is which except for the size. It would be nice if there was an ability to "label" these drives. (Also on the cloud side. would be tough to encrypt as you need to see this before the drive is mounted, but you could just inform people it isnt.)

My final thought is it would be nicer if there was a way to just always use the same encryption key. Yeah i can copy past it in whenever i make a drive but it almost seems like if i could always just use the same one for all my drives that would be my preference.

A few other things to add and i think they have been mentioned before.

Being able to see the stats for multiple drives at the same time would be nice.

And a simple command line tool that could tell if there is still data to be uploaded.

for example "CloudDrive.exe -uploadleft" would return 1005151034

because it still has that many bytes to upload. That is just the First thing i would like to see in a command line tool. Obviously mount and dismount would be nice to :)

    Just a few thoughts.

Let me know what you think.

  9. Hi all, I'm trying to create a CloudDrive store on Dropbox with my 1TB Dropbox account. I go to create the drive, it looks as though it's allocating, and then in the notifications tray in the top left of CloudDrive I get a red error - Not Authorized - "Drive (X:\) - <name> is not authorized with Dropbox."

It presents a link to Reauthorize, and I attempt to do so, and it appears successful - and then the error occurs again in CloudDrive almost immediately.

Does this matter? I haven't tried storing any data yet on the drive. Thanks!

What version are you running... i believe this issue has been resolved in the most recent betas.

  10. So i had an ACD and Google Drive provider with a drive on each.

ACD is experiencing problems right now and is just completely down.

    BvSfSkx.jpg

This prevented my Google Drive provider from working. The Ui would stay on connecting sometime. The google Drive would stay on Mounting forever sometimes and the ACD just sat there.

I tried everything from the UI detach and hit the X on the connection. Neither worked. 10 or so reboots later i decided to test the following.

I went and deleted the invisible "cloudpart." for ACD rebooted and the Google mounted just fine.

This is on the .415 beta
