Hi,

I'm using drivepool v2.0xxx. I am trying to create a new shared folder.

In the WHS 2011 Dashboard I chose "Add a folder" and picked the location to be the pool drive - X:\ .

The WHS returned the following error message instead: The folder location is not valid. A server folder cannot be added to a root directory of a hard drive ....

What is the correct way to create a new shared folder using drivepool?

Thanks,

Ruben

The dashboard appears to only create new folders in X:\serverfolders, but you can create shares directly on your drivepool and modify permissions in the dashboard.

Could you enable tracing and duplicate the issue:

http://wiki.covecube.com/StableBit_DrivePool_2.x_Log_Collection

After doing that, could you update to the beta build? There was an issue with the driver and the WHS code (not liking virtual disks)
