denywinarto Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 One of my drives is showing smart warning, and i'm gonna RMA it and now i'm buying a new drive, just wanna make sure this is correct procedure, 1. Insert new drive to rack 2. Add new drive to pool 3. Remove bad drive pool from DP 4. Remove bad drive from rack Is that it? did i miss anything? Quote
1 Christopher (Drashna) Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Yup, that's it. You can use the "disk usage limiter", but with the revamped removal code, this shouldn't be necessary. Quote
0 denywinarto Posted April 15, 2018 Author Posted April 15, 2018 Thanks, seems to work, but i found a scanner bug i think, Quote
0 Christopher (Drashna) Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 Using Remote desktop, right? http://dl.covecube.com/ScannerWindows/beta/download/StableBit.Scanner_2.5.2.3156_BETA.exe Quote
0 denywinarto Posted April 17, 2018 Author Posted April 17, 2018 Yeah, ok, i will try that once scanning is done. It found another issue though, file system damaged, should i ignore this or should i remove and chkdsk? Quote
0 Christopher (Drashna) Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 For the file system check, repair it, and it should be fine. Quote
0 denywinarto Posted April 18, 2018 Author Posted April 18, 2018 It says volume is busy, should i force repair? "Forcing a repair will forcefully close any file open on the volume being repaired" Quote
0 Christopher (Drashna) Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Yes. If it's still busy, or can't be forced... then it should schedule a repair. Quote
