You could try running a chkdsk scan to see if you need to run a repair, perhaps do a chkdsk /r to look for bad sectors. 2. It might be damaged file permissions. I would suggest trying these fixes (the linked wiki method and the SetACL method) to see if that solves things. 3. Another possibility is some sort of problem involving reparse points or symlinks. If none of the above help, I'd suggest opening a support ticket. Quote

Thanx for the response Shane, what followed was a slight comedy of errors ( this was a disk which was mounted to avoid using s drive letter, turns out it's quite difficult to run chkdsk on boot for a 'mounted' drive). I finally realized "Wait a minute - this is part of a drive pool, and it's replicated!!!". So I just removed the drive, and replaced it. Sorry to have bothered you 😄 Shane 1 Quote
