Flimboyz
I use DrivePool with 6 HDD and 1 SSD. I only have big files often read during 2 hours. I would like to reduce my hdd uses over long period. Is it possible to transfert the current read files from HDD to SSD if not already present ?
0 Shane
Hi, DrivePool doesn't have the option to move files to a particular drive by their access times. However if you know there are particular files or folders that you will regularly access you could set a File Placement rule to have them kept on the SSD. Otherwise you'd need to try a third-party tool (e.g. PrimoCache?) to use the SSD as an independent cache.
0 Flimboyz
Thank you, I tried PrimoCache late yesterday and it only cache part of the file during access so it doesn't help to reduce HDD runing time.
