Software to determine which drives are slowing things down

Dr Julius

Question

So, I currently run a pool with 16 pooled drives in it. Is there some free tool to quickly find out which of these are the slowest drives, so that I can take them out of the pool and remove them from the system to save power etc.?

I did find a tool called Parkdale that supposedly scans all drives on a system, but this somehow does not see the drives that have a virtual drive entry in the system. Mounted Volumes are not seen by this tool.

Any tips on this?

Hmm. Perhaps CrystalDiskMark? You can choose to select a folder as well as drives, so you could test drives mounted as folders that way. It won't scan them all at once, you'd have to record the results from each drive and compare them yourself.
