  1. I just had to swap motherboard for my server. Installing and registering DrivePool again was no problem. However, SSD Optimizer refuses to install, claiming I must install DrivePool 2.x first. Is this a bug in the current beta of DrivePool, or is something else afoot? Windows 10 x64 Pro DrivePool 2.2.3.950 beta SSD Optimizer 1.0.5.12 for StableBit DrivePool 2.X (x64)
  2. I spend almost 3hours every day trying to keep my CloudDrive+CloudPool setup alive. For me its a hard job with crashe and unresponsive system and GUIs. ReFS, NTFS, going virutal, going BETA, Clustersize, adding SSD, SSD Addon, cachesize... trying different providers, Dropbox, Azure, FTP, Google Drive, Local... Nothing keeps CloudDrives working more then some hours. But my latest problem is that im sleeping to long so CloudDrive removes my haddrives after dual bluescreens. When my drives are getting removed i see: [CloudDrives] Drive <ID> was previously unmountable. User is not retrying mount. Skipping. 10 drives is now 5 drives.. And now i need to force it....? So... what to do know? Start all over again? ok, this was not clouddrive related, i lost 2SSD´s with the last BSOD... sorry! but can i copy the cache folder to a new drive if i csn recover the data?
  3. Hi, I have installed the 822 beta version, however, after restarting my machine DrivePool displays the following: The background server failed to start, try to restart the computer. I have restarted twice with no success. The EventLog displays the following error: Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializationException: Error getting value from 'PoolUserPath' on 'DrivePoolComm.Info.DrivePoolInfo'. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at (Object , String ) at CoveNative.Extensions.StringExtensions.MakeUserPathFromKernelPath(String pathFullName) at DrivePoolComm.Info.DrivePoolInfo.get_PoolUserPath() at GetPoolUserPath(Object ) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.DynamicValueProvider.GetValue(Object target) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.DynamicValueProvider.GetValue(Object target) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalWriter.CalculatePropertyValues(JsonWriter writer, Object value, JsonContainerContract contract, JsonProperty member, JsonProperty property, JsonContract& memberContract, Object& memberValue) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalWriter.SerializeObject(JsonWriter writer, Object value, JsonObjectContract contract, JsonProperty member, JsonContainerContract collectionContract, JsonProperty containerProperty) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalWriter.SerializeObject(JsonWriter writer, Object value, JsonObjectContract contract, JsonProperty member, JsonContainerContract collectionContract, JsonProperty containerProperty) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalWriter.Serialize(JsonWriter jsonWriter, Object value, Type objectType) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializer.SerializeInternal(JsonWriter jsonWriter, Object value, Type objectType) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.SerializeObjectInternal(Object value, Type type, JsonSerializer jsonSerializer) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.SerializeObject(Object value, Formatting formatting, JsonSerializerSettings settings) at DrivePoolService.JsonNodeStore.#DUf(Guid , PersistentNode ) at CoveUtil.OmniStore.Store.() at CoveUtil.OmniStore.Store.Create(Boolean IsWritable, Boolean IsTrackingChanges, DirectoryInfo ThePersistentStoreLocation, Boolean TheWeakBinding, CustomSerializer TheCustomSerializer, Boolean UseReaderWriterLock, Boolean DeleteDamagedPersistentFiles, INodeStore NodeStore) at DrivePoolService.Main.<>c.#Rch() at CoveUtil.ReportingAction.Run(Action TheDangerousAction, Func`2 ErrorReportExceptionFilter)
  4. Hello, Can I mix NTFS and ReFS drives in my pool ? I am using Drivepool version 2.2 beta.
  5. Hey, Would it be useful to have a sticky on here, where it's posted when a new beta version comes out, along with what people run into and find in that version? Basically a copy of the changes.txt, but people can then post comments on it etc... e.g. The issue we had where drives become corrupt... That way it's quick to realize that you probably shouldn't update to the update until it's resolved...? Just a thought!
  6. I have new windows 10 install with drivepool and scanner and moved my licences from my old computer to new. Set up two pools for storage and noticed something weird with scanner. It was showing a 4KB activity on the performance column every 2 seconds or so. This is causing the disks to keep pausing the scan due to activity and they are now never spinning down. I did some searching around and didn't see anything posted anywhere about it so I did some troubleshooting. Running Procmon shows the drivepool service writing to the drive and stopping the service stops the activity. Should I downgrade to the stable version? Is the drivepool service critical to the operation? Is there an advanced setting somewhere?
  7. I must say I was very excited to see the new product when I was checking out the site. I have been using drive pool for a few months and tested out Drive Scanner. I think CloudDrive is a great addition. After installing the Beta it asks for a license or to start the trial. Do we select the 30 day trial and just reinstall with a new trial each time the Beta is updated? Or do we request a beta license somehow?
