But glad that we got it sorted.

Get well soon Chris, real life comes first, there is nothing more important than the health of yourself and that of your family

No, not yet.
Just a heads up, because StableBit CloudDrive is close to release, the plan is to get it pretty much all the way there, and then go through all of the pending issues and feature requests for StableBit CloudDrive and StableBit DrivePool.
This means that we should get to issues like this relatively soon.
Though, this may take slightly longer, as it does involve ... essentially purchasing the hardware to test it on.

Thanks.
I've flagged this issue, so we can see about updating the rules for this drive/model.
However, it may be a while before we're able to. I'll try to let you know when that happens.

Would you mind forwarding the images of Samsung Magician to me (either via https://stablebit.com/Contactor to "christopher@covecube.com")?

Hi had a similar problem scanner flagged a drive but wd tools said it was fine I still have/use the drive to this day I just set scanner not to scan that particular drive

Bluetac got a reaction from Ginoliggime in Samsung 850 pro 128 gig smart issue
I was wondering if this is a blip or not, the drives are installed in my server 2012 r2 essentials and have never given me any issues ,
I am not 100% sure but i am guessing it is to do with the samsung magician software as i had previously had rapid mode enabled. however it appears to be glitchy with the new version on this system. I am guessing that this would explain the 26% .
Or should i actually be worried at this point in time?
Server motherboard is supermicro X10sat
Chipset Intel® C226 Express PCH SATA SATA3 via PCH w/ RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 SATA3 via ASM1061® Network Controllers Intel® i217LM + Intel® i210AT Controllers Supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T, RJ45 output Audio RealTek ALC1150 High Definition Audio Input / Output Serial ATA 6x SATA3 (6Gbps) ports via PCH 2x SATA3 (6Gbps) ports via ASM1061® Total of 8x SATA3 ports (6Gbps)
The ssd is plugged into the channel 0 of the PCH controller, all chipset drivers are current
CPU is the core I1 4770s

If you need any other info please let me know
Other tools , perfect disk server's smart reporting says all is fine and samsung's magicians tools report all is well too.

Bluetac reacted to Christopher (Drashna) in SATA Controller Help for Small Server Build
IT Mode = HBA Mode
IR Mode = RAID mode
the RAID mode can still be used as an HBA (depending, but usually).
I'd recommend just an IT/HBA card, as they tend to be cheaper outright.
HBA meaning "host bus adapter", which is a fancy term for "just a disk controller" And that's what you want.

Bluetac reacted to Spider99 in Need Advice On SATA Controller Purchase
lol - yes have three of the 950 Pro's
doubt you need to raid 0 them as you are unlikely to have anything that will stress them
Make sure you get Samsung Magician and the Samsung NVME drivers as Windows 10 only has a basic driver
IIRC scanner might have issues with getting the SMART info off the drives - but it will get fixed im sure
Make sure the NVME drives are very well cooled as the run very hot 60-80c in operation and can easily overheat - then they throttle their speed
Enjoy

You're very welcome!
As for the rules/interpretations, yes. We do this periodically, and "on demand". But this is a rather time consuming process.
And SSDs are notorious for obfuscating the data. Meaning that the data may not actually be correct until we put it through a "filter".

Thank you Spider99 and Drashna for your help, that makes sense about the page file. I will swap out the ssd and move the page file off of the ssd .
Drashna are there any plans to implement the manufacturer interpretation rules in a future release/update ?

The life for your ssd is 150TB
so 15Tb per year
you are well under per year
My 2012r2 is very chatty with its disk at about 4tb for 4-5 months
If you look in scanner there is an almost constant read/write going on - i have yet to find the culprit(s) even with search turned off

Bluetac reacted to Christopher (Drashna) in Samsung 850 pro 128 gig smart issue
The LBA written *may* be off. In many drives (especially SSDs), this information is not passed on normally and does require interpretation.
But given the ~3.5 years, if this is a system disk, then 30TBs isn't unreasonable.
Spider99 is right about the system being very "chatty". Specifically, the page file is heavily used, and this may account for a majority of the writes. That said, temp files are written a lot. And if this Essentials, then you have logs written to the system disk every day.

its three+ years old i would plan for a replacement pronto
keep a close eye on the 220's and see if its changing (which i suspect it is)
SSD's only have so much life and when it runs out the disk goes read only
how much has it written - its in the smart info further down

Reallocated sectors like this is always a bad thing... and I would recommend replacing the drive, RMA if it's still under warranty.

Yeah, I had a feeling.
As for the data, I'm not exactly sure what you mean there, or where your data is already located.
However, we do have a "seeding" guide, which may be what you are looking for (or give you enough of an idea to do what you want):

Bluetac,
It sounds like you may have accidently added each drive to a new pool. If you rapidly clicked on the "Add" from the UI, it could do this.
Remove all but one of the disks from the pool. Once that's done, then add them. This should add the disks to the one pool.
It should look like this:
