Slow Duplication

I have been testing Stable bit Drive pool over the past month and I am very happy with it, (in-fact I just purchased a license) however I have chosen to duplicate my movie collection (900GB) and the duplication process has gotten very slow (12 hours so far and its only at 30% duplication). I have used the duplication feature on some other files during my months test and all was well. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or its just cause its a lot of data

That sounds about right.

 

Depending on the amount of data, the type of drives in use, and the hardware in general, this can take a while.

This is because, by default, we use a low background priority to process the data, in order to prevent any sort of performance hit to your system. This can slow down the process, and make it much slower than just copying the files over.

 

There are settings to boost this priority, if you are interested. (and if you're using 2.X, there is a way to do so in the UI, temporarily).
