Widows 8.1 System Restore - Drive pool setings

I have a w 8.1 machine with drivepool installed and it's great.   I am using Acronis True Image 2014 for backup/restore.  I was using ATI 2014 it to upgrade my system drive to larger SSD and the restore appears to work fine till I get a system configuration error message and I think I may I need to physically disconnect the drive pool drives the re-establish the pool after upgrading the system drive. I'm really confused on what to do.  I've looked and read everything I could find, but I'm still confused as how to proceed.  I've searched the Acronis and Covecube sites.  I'm now concerned that if I have a system drive failure on the 8.1 machine I won't be able to get it going again.  Any ideas or pointing me the right direction is greatly appreciated.

There should be absolutely no issue removing the pooled drives temporarily.

 

Clone/migrate to the new drive, and once that's up and running, reconnect the drives. As soon as you do, DrivePool will recognize that and recreate the pool. Just as you had it.

Thank so much! Nice that it works out so easily. So to be sure I got it right, disconnect the data drives, restore the operating system, shut down, reconnect the data drives, power up I should be good go. thanks again!

Yup, that's exactly it.

 

Well, that, and once StableBit DrivePool is reinstalled, it will recognize and create the pool.
