drdugr
I have a Western Digital Gold (enterprise) drive of 6 TBs and scanner recognizes it as a SCSI drive (SATA) and doesn't use Western Digital rules of interpretation. Can this be corrected?
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Not all disks have a specific interpretations. We only create them for drives that don't conform to standards, or have specific settings. Also new drives may not have rules. As for why the drive shows SCSI, WD has an article about this, actually: https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=1433
