stinger303
Hello, I'm looking at switching from unraid to snapraid and drivepool. My question is how much free space do the disks need to pool them? When I hit add I get a message saying "Not enough free space on the disk to create a new volume" Thanks Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
0 Christopher (Drashna)
It depends. If the drive is partitioned and formatted as NTFS, there shouldn't be any issues with adding the disk to the pool. If the disk is not formatted as NTFS or not partitioned, it may be a disk error that is causing the software to fail to partition/format the disk properly. In this case, you can use Disk Management (run "diskmgmt.msc") to manually initialize, partition and format the disk as NTFS. It should then have no issues with being added to the pool.
