freefaller
Hi, I'm trying to replace a 1TB disk with a 3TB disk. I've connected the 3TB disk without issue, and added it to the pool. When trying to remove the 1TB disk I keep getting errors Error Removing Drive Error duplicating file '\\?\Volume{35241968-92dc...}\'. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. Should I be using the balancers to empty the disk completely first? Or should removing the drive not be doing this as part of the process?
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Try using the "Force Damaged Disk Removal" option. This should skip any errors, and leave problem files on the drive. You can use the "Drive Space Limiter" balancer to clear out the drive (uncheck the "duplicated" and "unduplicated" options for the disk in question). This will slowly balance the data off of the drive. Alternatively, if you've used the force damage option, you can copy the contents of the "PoolPart" folder onto the pool, to get the skipped over data. Hi,
I'm trying to replace a 1TB disk with a 3TB disk. I've connected the 3TB disk without issue, and added it to the pool.
When trying to remove the 1TB disk I keep getting errors
Error Removing Drive
Error duplicating file '\\?\Volume{35241968-92dc...}\'.
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
Should I be using the balancers to empty the disk completely first? Or should removing the drive not be doing this as part of the process?
