Empty directory gets deleted on drive remove

stableN00B

Question

I am currently testing DP v2.1.1.561 and may have found an issue or I just don't understand something.

Steps:

  1. Create a pool using only one drive
  2. On the pool create a folder with no files in it eg EMPTY
  3. Or even a nested 2 level folder still empty
    P:\Empty1\Empty2
  4. Create a 2nd folder with a single file in it
  5. Remove the drive from the pool

Once the pool is removed, only the folder(s) with files in them remain.
Empty1 and Empty2 are no longer in the remaining PoolPart directory. Is this a bug or feature?

When you remove the last disk in the pool...

It should leave the files on the pool.  Once it's removed, you should see a visible (not hidden) "PoolPart.xxxx" folder on the drive. It should have the remaining files that were on the pool.

However, any empty folders will be removed.

If that's not what you're seeing, please do let us know.
