failed disk - restoration approach

I am evaluating stablebit drivepool. so far I find it worth buying.

I don't have any redundancy of my disks in the pool and I accept this increases risk of data loss. My mechanism before this was to use methods such as Junction points, messy but I knew that particular data was on a certain disk.

Should a disk fail now, how would I know what was on it? I do backup my data so I guess one approach is to 'restore missing files', I was just wondering if this information is stored anywhere in the product?
