  1. While I'm not sure exactly when this happened, all of my disk location with the case/bay information appears to have been lost. I'm running 2.5.3216 (website says 2.5.4.3216, but programs and features reports 2.5.3216) on Windows 10. Is this a known issue? I've got like 10-12 disks on this machine, and what's worse is that I don't think I actually have this information easily available without taking stuff offline. Not the end of the world, but obviously inconvenient. I actually have a full system backup going back 2 weeks, 6 months, and almost a year.....is that data stored som
  2. Hello, So there was a power outage today, the UPS shutdown the VM host which the has a 2012 R2 VM that runs Drive Pool, The Drive pool is made up of one local drive and 2 iscsi shares to seperate Netgear NAS systems All on the UPS However once the power came back on and everything booted i was greeted with the attached picture showing the 900GB drive completely empty. in drive pool it was showing the drive as normal but now 200mb/900GB used. The other drive im still waiting to come back up from disk scanning, Running Recuva i can see the files are infact stil
  3. Hello everyone: Not sure if this is the correct Forum for this, but I just wanted to let you all know about what I consider to be a fantastic deal on some 4TB Drives at Newegg. Drashna, you can move it if you need to. To save everyone’s time, I’ll just give you the stats: · Brand: Toshiba · Model: MD04ACA400 (Bare Drive) · Capacity: 4TB · Size: 3.5” · Speed: 7200RPM · Connection: SATA 6.0Gb/s · Cache: 128
  4. Hi there, I saw a previous thread about putting a damaged disk back into the pool, but my question is slightly different... I have a disk that StableBit Scanner says has some damage. It's a small amount of damage vs. the whole disk, but of course, it's part of a big file, so that's likely toast. What happens now? What happens with DrivePool when a bad file is either "fixed" or becomes corrupt? Does the bad file get replicated to other pool members? Or does DrivePool figure out the disk has damage and overwrites the bad file? Should I leave the bad file in place (rename it so it st
  5. Hello, I recently started upgrading my 3TB & 4TB disks to 8TB disks and started 'removing' the smaller disks in the interface. It shows a popup : Duplicate later & force removal -> I check yes on both... Continue 2 days it shows 46% as it kept migrating files off to the CloudDrives (Amazon Cloud Drive & Google Drive Unlimited). I went and toggled off those disks in 'Drive Usage' -> no luck. Attempt to disable Pool Duplication -> infinite loading bar. Changed File placement rules to populate other disks first -> no luck. Google Drive uploads with 463mbp/s so it goes d
  6. Hello everyone! I'm new here trying to do as much research as I can before purchase. I'm liking all the information I've seen on the main site, manual, and the forums/old forums. I think I've caught a little information off Reddit to push me here. I'm hoping for loads of information and maybe this will help MANY people in the long run on what to do. So first off on the topic string. I would like to use StableBit's products only. So in doing so I gathered some can's and can not's. That the Drivepool with Scanner are a pair made to secure any deal. But I'm
  7. I have searched for this and found it to be a problem, but I am not able to find some help for what is going on with my situation. I have 4 drives (2, 2TB, 2, 4TB), on WHS 2011 using drivepool ver 1.3.6.7585, all the drives are using around 70% capacity (average) The only thing wrong with the drive is a head parking count, but scanner or home server smart is not projecting any failure. I tagged one of the 2TB drives for removal and it is not showing any progress at all after 20 hours. if I go into "drives" it shows that is has a remaining capacity of 700GB, in "removing" status and thi
  8. First, thanks in advance for a really well-managed support forum - it speaks well of both the product and the community. Didn't find this scenario in the existing content: I would like to upgrade one of my smaller pooled drives to a larger version. If I clone the existing drive (so, same label, same content, just appears a lot bigger) - will DrivePool remain blissfully unaware (and take on the new space automagically)? It'd be done offline. Thanks!
