I found this after posting my question sorry about that. just to make sure I disabled the pool correctly i right clicked on it an added it to exclusions.I set the SSD to SSD Optimize and left the OS Server Back up disk to consolidate free space.

I just got perfect disk 14 an can't fin the bypass filters option can you help me find it? Also do I exclude the pool itself an defeat just the drives or exclude the drives an only defrag pool? I'm not sure how to configure this

What version of Perfectdisk are you running? I am familiar with the product as I run it on my WHS v1 box, can you talk about how you have your perfectdisk configured?

I am Running WS2012E R2, should I use the built in function or can I use Perfectdisk? I don't want to lose data and want to avoid doing something wrong. My mixture is SSD system drive and 4tb drives internal and external container.
