Move disks to external enclosure

I've filled up my tower.  I bought a new external USB 3 enclosure and a couple pretty fast drives, and added them to Drivepool.  USB3 is a little slow, particularly on random reads/writes.  I'd like to take a couple of the full drives out of my tower and move them to the external enclosure, and then put the new fast drives on the SATA connections in the tower.  All are presently in the drive pool.  Can I just move physical drives around like this?

Yep - Drivepool really doesn't care how the drive is connected - just so it is connected.  I've moved drives from internal bays on my R710 to an external disk shelf and to usb enclosures (and back again) and they're always found.
