Maximizing SSD cache use

Hi,

I have the SSD Optimizer plugin, with one 500 GB SSD drive, plus 2 HDD archive drives (3 TB + 2 TB). I've tried various things, but it doesn't quite work the way I'd like.

I want to make DrivePool work this way:

Use the SSD as much as possible, and fill it up to 90+%. At that point, move the oldest items from the SSD into one of the archive drives to make some space. I'd like this to be configurable.

For Example: When the SSD hits 490 GB, move 150 GB of the oldest stuff from the SSD onto the archive disks. Here, the 490 GB and 150 GB are configurable either as direct numbers or a percentage of the disk size.

Is this possible to do? If so, how do I do it?

I second this. Using the SSD more of a write cache and a cache of the latest files .

I came here looking for a similar setup. I have 10tb of HDD, and want to add an expansion card with two or more nvme drives.
