Question

I was evaluating drivepool for possible purchase but when I Tried to copy a file that is over 10GB in size to the pool it always stops and fails. I get an error message that it cannot write the file and that I should remove write protection. Previously I could copy other files of larger size to the pool, but it refuses to write this specific file. I've tried copying it from multiple sources.

It seems the problem was caused by one of the pool drives having bad sectors, but drivepool didn't notice or report this. I had to use 3rd party software to find out.
