    CrashPlan uses Java, IIRC. Which isn't great.  And it's doing a lot of computation to compare files that have already been updated. So yeah, it's slow.
     
    And yeah, I saw that ACD has been opened up to europe (and it explains the increase in tickets about it).  That's also probably why Amazon has changed the API and approval methods... 
     
     
     
    They will always be usable.  We maintain backwards compatibility to ensure that you never lose access to the drives. 
     
    However, the problem is that you don't get the advantage of some of the improvements if you create a drive in an earlier version.  it's not converted.  
     
    So, even though you're not forced to, in some cases, we do HIGHLY recommend it.  
     
    But if you're using the 631 build, then you shouldn't have an issue with this.

    Is there any ETA on when the new API will be implemented, or anything resembeling a time frame? I've already purchased CloudDrive but not beeing able to use it with ACD is a big letdown
