  1. Lately i have been noticing this a lot, where my drive suddenly dismounts. I have no idea what is causing this. I would leave it uploading things as i am trying to offload a lot of things onto my google drive, and suddenly i come back to it and it has dismounted

  2. By "G Drive", do you mean Google Drive?

Also, Alex has a great writeup on how the cache works: http://community.covecube.com/index.php?/topic/1610-how-the-stablebit-clouddrive-cache-works/

Yeah i meant google drive, I had an issue occur where my computer shut off randomly, and the hard drive started a recovery. Now when the recovery finished it now has to upload EVERYTHING that i had already uploaded before. Is this normal?

Figured out everything, important to clear local cache as it is uploaded cause a crash will cause it to reupload everything!

  3. When you opt to clean up a drive what exactly does it do? For example I have the cloudbit drive on M:\ if i delete something in the drive is it automatically removed from my G Drive? Or do i have to run the cleanup to get it to be removed sort of to "sync" the drives.

Also one last thing is the cache, when i copy and paste a bunch of files in my M: Drive, if i go beyond the size of the cache will it still be uploading? Just curious how that works if i am able to queue up more than the cache size for the upload.

  4. Hi,

    Go here: http://dl.covecube.com/CloudDriveWindows/beta/download/

Scroll to the bottom and download the latest version (1.0.0.722 at time of writing).   That has a bandwidth limiter in it.    It's under "Drive Options" > Performance > I/O Performance.    You can safely upgrade without causing any issues, unless you're using Amazon Cloud Drive, in which case, ask Stablebit first.

You can change your cache drive by Detaching the drive, then re-attaching it and it will give you the option of picking a new cache drive.   You can do this safely as long as you don't have any data queued to upload.    You'll lose your cache when you do it of course.

    Cheers

Thank you very much, Yes i don't know if USB3 and SATA3 would have the same performance but i want to make sure i have the best performance possible for it

  5. I am trying to find a way on the software to at least limit the bandwidth being used so i can continue to do activities online while not getting killed as the uploading is being maxed. Is there a way to do this? Or do i just pause the uploads via disabling upload threads.

Also is there a way to change the cache directory after it's already been established? I put it on an external drive thats connected to my bay via USB3 was hoping to put it on an internal drive to get better speeds.
