  1. Well, two things.

Try disabling the "Delivery Optimizer" service and reboot.

    Otherwise, try grabbing this build:

    http://dl.covecube.com/CloudDriveWindows/beta/download/StableBit.CloudDrive_1.0.0.721_x64_BETA.exe

Thanks. I'll check out the update.

I assuming that services is the special one that lets my machine help out Microsoft my using my bandwidth to keep other machines updated. Beyond that, how would that effect a CloudDrive?

  2. I'm running into some odd behavior that I think is targeted by CloudDrive.

This biggest pain at this point is the following isn't replicatable, but it is consistent, i'm just not sure what kicks it off. When it occurs, the entire system partial freezes. I can, for example, launch a cmd window from Run, but not from "Cortana". I cannot open any applications. I cannot launch the task manager. I cannot elevate permissions. Most applications that happened to already be open seem to continue to run.

I originally though this was an OS corruption issue, and for a while I would run procmon and taskmgr at the same time just to have them running when it happened. The only connecting thread I could find was that the mounted CloudDrive "F" would should 100% utilization. If I disable the CloudDrive service, the issue seems to 100% stop.

    Next thoughts?

    I'm currently running:

    1.0.0.463 Beta

    Windows 10 Pro

    Asus Z77 Sabertooth

    Thanks!

    Matt

  3. I've recently purchased DrivePool to start replacing MS StorageSpaces and have been playing with it in various forms to get used it it's features. I setup a simple 3 drive USB pool, loaded it with a few files, and attempted to transfer it to a test laptop running a trial version to see how the pool moves in practice.

Within a period of time it told me I had to transfer my license to said machine to continue to use the trial. If I blocked all communication via the firewall, the message would not pop up.

While I have no issue wanting to protect the trial and keep people from mis-using it, it made me wonder what DrivePool (my purchased copy) is reporting back? Is my pool uniquely identified and stored somewhere offsite that is referenced for other uses? I ask this mostly for a security/privacy standpoint.
