With me on a 2x2TB system with 2x0.8TB used (2x duplication on everything), "checking" takes, I donnow, 24 hrs?. Perhaps it is just taking very long?
It would be very helpful if "checking" would give a bit more detail on how far along it thinks it is.
This problem does not get past checking, no percentage indication and it will do it for days on end.

I have a problem with Stablebit Scanner I was hoping somebody could help with.
About every two or three days when I reboot the server, on reboot it will not “find “the pool and to fix this problem I have to disconnect all the data hard drives and reboot connecting one at a time, and then everything works ok for another 3-4 days. BUT while everything is working ok if I go into stablebit software and down the bottom just above the version number, it says “checking” and just sits there “checking “ and never changes. The pie chart on the left showing the pool is totally greyed out symbolising “other”

Here is my hardware.
New install of Win 8.1 OS x64
Stablebit Drivepool v2.0.0.420
16Gb Corsair RAM
AsusP9D-WS motherboard https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P9D_WS/specifications/
C226 Chipset
1 x SSD for OS
5 x 4Tb Seagate ST4000VN000 Data Drives
650w Corsair PSU. (Tried two different PSU’s )
Does anybody know why this does not finish the checking. I have tried re install, and repair but this will not fix it.
I tried installing Stablebit scanner on this set up also but had to take it off, as I could not get it to boot past the welcome screen.
Help appreciated
New motherboard, & O.S. , what to do with DrivePool
in General
Posted
So I am building a new "faster" server and wanted to know what the procedure was, regarding migrating the old DrivePool to the new motherboard and OS.
So this is what I was planning,
1: Deactivate DrivePool on the old server.
2: Install the new motherboard & O.S.
3:move old drives to the new Server
3: Install DrivePool on new server & let it do its magic.
Is this correct, and do I have all the Pool hard drives connected when I install DrivePool software on the new server, or connect them one at at time.
Thanks in advance for any help.
