  1. I never had to uninstall Drivepool in order to uninstall Forefront. I am sorry, but I have had so much going on in my life that I have not had a chance to be on here and test more, using the tinkernut page I was able to install Forefront, I am not sure if there is a link on the page to the files or if I had to find them. Christopher I will try and install Forefront and test it with the new beta version of drivepool, but at the moment, I am just running Malwarebytes to keep everything running.
  2. Hi Christopher can you pass this link onto Alex, he was having problems installing forefront on 2012 r2 essentials and this is how I did it. http://www.tinkertry.com/antivirus4ws2012e/
  3. Do you have any ideas on what to use in the meantime as security essentials is not supported on Server 2012 R2 Essentials, I do not want to leave the server even though its a data server open to any form of attack.
  4. Since I restarted along with the BSOD, it seems like when I have done a remote desktop and I have looked at drivepool and its saying balancing.
  5. ForeFront Client Version: 1.4.1996.0 Engine Version: 1.1.10802.0 Installed using the following page. www.tinkertry.com/antivirus4ws2012e/ Its Server 2012 R2 Essentials.
  6. There is no duplication enabled, I am just running it like a JBOD, I have no need for duplication to be on as everything is backed up. One drive has 324k out of 2tb the other has 44k out of 2tb and the last has 705GB out of 2tb, what additional balancers is there?
  7. Hi, I have come to a new problem when trying to copy some files from my Windows 8.1 laptop to my Server 2012 R2 Essentials running Drivepool, I am being told there is not enough space on the HDD to copy files over, I have looked and there is over 700GB left, I have notice that 2 out of the 3 drives are full, so my problem is that the files are not being balanced between the three drives.
  8. Hi, I have verified that Windows Defender does not come with the Server variations of Windows.
  9. Yeah I am on 2.1.1.561 now, have been I think for 2 days, I am still getting the same problem, anyway I am using forefront for the AV as Server editions don't come with Defender, how will I remove the drivepool from being scanned for now? Ok there is a part in forefront security where it asks you to choose where you do not want to scan, so I have put the pool in there. The thing is it doesn't BSOD when its actually turned on or running, its only or shutdown or restart.
  10. I've managed to get the dump file uploaded.
  11. Ok so I use the whocrashed program and from what it says that mpfilter.sys is what is causing it. From what I have read this is the malware protection driver, how can this be giving me BSOD? I found out why I wasn't getting the dump file, for some apparent reason a backup of one of my folders was being backed up onto the c drive and eating the space I had left, so once I remove it I was able to get the file.
  12. Hi, its been a while since my last post and since the update of stablebit, I thought I would add that the error is still there and for some reason I cannot get the memory.dmp file from C:/Windows as it doesn't show up there, the error still reports as 3rd party file system, which I am assuming has to do with stablebit's drivepool.
  13. Hi, I am getting a BSOD on shutdown or restart with Server 2012R2 Essentials and Stablebit Drivepool 2.0, other than that everything works. The error is to do with 3rd party file system, I am assuming this is to with Drivepool but I am not sure,if it is does anyone have any idea on a possible fix? Info: In the drivepool I have 3x WD Green Drives 2TB each.
