  1. I tried copying a large (200+GB) system image file from a win 10 pro PC to the aformentioned drivepool with about 7TB free space & this worked OK. I suspect it's an issue with Win 11.
  2. I have 14 mixed size HDD's in my drivepool on a Windows 10 Pro x64 PC giving a total drivepool size of about 24TB with about 7TB free space. I use x3 duplication. When I tried to copy approx 465GB to the drivepool over my LAN from another Win 11 Pro PC, windows 11 reported insufficient free space! I also tried copying the same folder to a 4TB HDD, with about 3TB free space, that is a member of the same drivepool with the same error about insufficient free space! All 14 HDD's are reported as 'healthy' by stablebit scanner. Could this be a drivepool issue or a Win 11 issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  3. The problem is Aomei Backupper Pro doesn't see the PoolParts.xxxxxxx (as it's hidden). I think I'll stick with my method as metioned above; far less hassle Thanks anyway
  4. I use Aomei backupper pro to create a system image of Windows 10 Pro into the same pc's drivepool. I ran a test restore on this Windows 10 pc from Aomei but on boot into the winpe enviroment the drivepool isn't listed, only the HDD's that make up the pool. Is there a way to access the contents of my drivepool to allow a system restore? My work around at the moment is to place a copy of the system backup image from the drivepool onto one of the HDD's that belong to the pool but outside the PoolPart.xxxxxxxxxxx folder, thus making this folder visible to the backup software
  5. I've ran the 'reset all settings' & the 'missing' HDD has reappeared! I'll keep an eye on DrivePool & follow your full recommendations should the original problem reappear. Thanks for your help.
  6. I have a 6TB HDD that shows as healthy in SB scanner but this HDD, which was showing in SB Drivepool, has disappeared. I've tried restarting DP service but the HDD is still not showing
  7. Just to be clear from the instructions you supplied. After moving all files from, say, each disk of my mirror-1 PoolPart.GUID folder to outside of this folder (and deleting each PoolPart.GUID folder) should I then create a new single pool that will ultimately hold the contents of all my previous 5 pools ie you stated "Add the now unpooled disks to the remaining pool" could that mean "Add the now unpooled disks to the newly created single final pool". I hope this makes sense
  8. Thanks for the info Drashna. I'll give it a go shortly & let you know the outcome
  9. Is the above possible without losing any existing data (all pools use file duplication not folders)

    bad sectors

I've been having problems with Stable Scanner reporting bad sectors on a spinner HDD that other scanners do not detect like Seagate Seatools, CrystalDiskInfo & HDD regenerator. Any suggestion why this is so?
  11. Hi All I run Windows 10 Pro x64 on a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P mobo with a Startech (Marvel) 2-port 6Gbps PCIe SATA controller card. The HDD cabled to the PCIe card is a Seagate 2TB ST2000DM008 3.5" SMR & scans at approx 300MBps; The HDD cabled to the mobo 6Gbps SATA port is a 2TB WD Black WD2003FZEX 3.5" CMR & scans at approx 100MBps, both HDD's spin at 7200rpm. Why is there such a large difference in scanning rate for theses 2 HDD's?
