Gents, I am trying to remove a drive that is starting to show smart errors. I have added additional space in order to remove the drive but I get the following error: ERROR REMOVING DRIVE There is not an open file with that identification number Any ideas on whats causing this. I dont really want to pull the drive manually but thats what i'm thinking i may have to do.
I've been running DrivePool 220.127.116.111, and Stablebit Scanner. Single pool of 4 3TB drives, on Windows 8.1. I've set folder options to show hidden and system files. I removed one of the drives from the pool, and DrivePool dutifully transferred its files off the disk. An identical disk has been re-added to the pool. I have been attempting to remove 2 2TB drives from my pool of 24 drives. I was able to successfully remove one after cancelling the process several times and rebooting my server. The issue I am having is the progress bar displays "Removing drive..." for hours without showing a % of the removal progress which leads me to believe the drive is not in fact being removed. I have already rebooted the server a couple times tried the force drive removal option to no avail. I always choose to duplicate later to speed up the removal process. Is this normal or is something wrong? Has anyone else experien
