Based on the feedback from the community, here is how to get your ESXi Host to pass on SMART data for Scanner in your guest VMs. All you need to do is the following and then any disk (not USB) you plugin in thereafter will be available for RDM: In the ESXi Console window, highlight your server Go to the Configuration tab Under Software, click Advanced Settings Click RdmFilter Uncheck the box for RdmFilter.HbaIsShared Click OK Used the Advanced Settings for StableBit Scanner to enable "UnsafeDirectIo" to get the SMART data from the virtual controller: http://wiki.covecube.com/Stable

Has anyone been able to successfully get a NFS share working on the pool so that a VMware ESXi host can add the NFS share as additional storage? I can perform this successfully on non-pooled drives without issue. I have Drivepool config files setup to display the file system as NTFS and I verified this by looking in disk manager and viewing the properties of the pooled drive. I am running the latest BETA version of Drivepool. I initially tried the latest stable version as well. Thanks in advance.

Hello there. Just faced some weird error while trying to create new virtual machine with the VMWare Player. On the regular disk, it works perfect. But when trying to create virtual machine on the drive that pooled, it throws errors that are linked to access to some files. Unfortunately I don't see any logs, so the only possible way is the "divination by photos" So, what do we have: 1. System running Windows Server 2012 R2 2. StableBit DrivePool 3. VMWare player v 6.0.1 4. All related executables of vmware are granted to run as administrator. 5. Folder F:\VirtualMachines\Home (whatever)
