[Keep certain files together]

Hello,

 

i'm currently trying DrivePool and came across the question wether it is possible to configure the balancer in a way that files within a subfolder, e.g. songs from one album (i.e. files in one folder) are stored together (i.e. on the same disk).

 

That way, accessing them through the disk directly would be much more straighforward.

Just thought I'd reply to this thread since I had the same issue (error 0x80070643).

 

For me, it was caused by my redirecting the default location for Program Files (and Program Files (x86)) away from my C: drive using registry, under:

 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

• ProgramFilesDir - REG_SZ
• ProgramFilesDir (x86) - REG_SZ
• ProgramW6432Dir - REG_SZ

I had to temporarily restore these values back to their defaults, then reboot and the Stablebit installer then worked fine.

 

Hope this helps anyone else with similar circumstances.

And if this is for 2.x, if you use the "Options" button, does it work fine?

even when specifying the path, it showed the same error for me

 

also, it would be nice if the path was prefilled with the default path
