acdcking12345
So I have my wife's machine with just one hard drive in it. Can I purchase a license and just run the scanner? I know it won't do a lot of the protection things, but will it still check the drive and let me know if it finds issues?
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Absolutely! And actually, we highly recommend that. You could purchase both for your server, and then just Scanner for your desktops. And that's actually a very good idea. In fact, if you already own a copy either product, for another system, you can purchase additional licenses at a discounted price (up to a total of ten licenses of each product, on one Activation ID). If you have the link to your order page, it will have links to purchase more at a discount. If you don't have the link (in the order completion email), but you have your Activation ID, then head to this page: Scroll down until you see the "Already own one of our products?" section, and input your Activation ID in the box. Click on the "Apply Activation ID" and it will refresh the page with the discounted pricing. Additionally, the notifications list the computer name (and you can specify a "site name", which gets reported as well), so it's easy to identify which system is having issues.
