Moving to a new computer

Question

I'm currently running Windows Home Server 2011 with DrivePool on it. There are four drives in the pool. All of them are connected via NTFS mount points (C:\Mount\disk00\, etc.).

I would like to change the OS to Windows 8. Will I need to re-mount the drives in the same manner in order to use them? Or will the pool continue to function normally even if Windows 8 mounts them with normal drive paths?

Thanks!

StableBit DrivePool will use the drives whether they are mounted (to a letter or folder) or not at all. :)

I believe you'll have to recreate the mount points on the new system (if you want to use them that way) but other than that, you should have no issues.

That's great to hear, thanks!
