All, I have a very large Pool (200TB) and when I do a lot of disk work, for better or worse, it impacts overall system performance regardless of my specs:
2950x @ 4.1ghz, 64gb ram, Titan X SLI with the OS on a Samsung NVME 960pro.
A thought occurred and wanted to tap the bigger brains still visiting this forum:
1. Could I move all my drives to a Hyper-V install with Drivepool there with no downsides?
2. I use the pool primarily for Plex server so I know Hardware acceleration wouldn't go through the Hyper-v from some initial research
3. If so, what recommended setups do you suggest - 16gb RAM with how many cores/threads dedicated?
