0 Christopher (Drashna)
I can't comment about any of these from personal experience. But I am familar with the Sans Digital TowerRAID products. And IIRC, they do work very well. Though the card that comes with it is a Silicon Images based card and is basically trash.
0 dbailey75
as you have already found out 5 Bay's are hard to come by, 4 seems to be the sweet spot. And the few you will find, are priced at premium. I was looking at the sans digital myself, and they've just come out with sata 3 model. http://www.sansdigital.com/towerraid-6g/tr5m6g.html http://www.wegotserved.com/2014/01/16/review-sans-digital-tr4m6g-hard-drive-enclosure/3/

Useful feedback thanks....what card would you recommend if not the silicon images one? as you have already found out 5 Bay's are hard to come by, 4 seems to be the sweet spot. A SATA III port multiplier enclosure would be very useful indeed. Anybody have any experience with this new model?
