Mouseover on the drive status bars does not always show info

Randym8888

Question

Excellent product, I have had it on WHS 2011 for the past week.

See the attached pdf.  The first pic shows the mouseover info for drive 2 in my pool.  The second pic shows the mouseover for drive 3, which shows no info. (No info shows for drive 1 either.)

Maybe I'm missing something, or it's a bug.  Thanks!

That is ... very odd.

Could you get a dump of the dashboard when this is happening?

Additionally, does this happen in the normal "UI" app (check Server Folders tab, and click on the "Advanced: Manage DrivePool" link)?

Also, does upgrading the 2.1.0.447 help?

AMCross,

Could you get a memory dump of the "DrivePool.Service.exe" process?

http://wiki.covecube.com/StableBit_DrivePool_Dashboard_Freeze

It says "Dashboard", but it's the same process.

And could you get the log from DrivePool?

http://wiki.covecube.com/StableBit_DrivePool_2.x_Log_Collection

And could you open a ticket for this issue. http://stablebit.com/Contact

If it makes you feel any better... i'm also experiencing this issue (or very similar). If it's what I think it is, it's a very very weird issue, and fairly rare.

I apologize I didn't take the time to do the dumps you requested (see original post).  I went to beta 447 but got no change in behavior.  Then I started a balancing which did populate some info in the mouseover windows, which I imagine is a helpful clue to the problem. But the balancing never progressed and the graph stayed gray and so I went back to 2.0.0.420.  The mouseover popup images now all contain info, and the graph is restoring itself to blue from gray.
