Few months ago when an hdd of mine died the scanner software helped me locate it by displaying its 8 digit number.
Now i have an hdd clicking that i try to fix but cant find the option in the scanner that will show the 8 digit numbers of the hdds again.
Can you guys help me out?
Also so far i found out the reason my hdd is clicking is cause its writing head keeps parking itself over and over again and have to use a software to keep writing on it to keep it awake all time so it doesnt click.
Is there any other solution to this problem? I have 14 hdds and only one is clicking right now and it started happening after i changed my psu power sata cables to some custom ones from moddiy site and connecting the hdds to the highpoint 750 card. Could it be the card or the power sata cables the cause of the problem?
