Destination Folder Access Denied

Jamesperkins

Question

Hi, I installed and successfully set this software up (as a trial). I created shares, copied loads of files in etc etc. Everything working well.

Remote access of these shares works faultlessly.

However, whenever I try and add files into folders within the shares, or create subfolders I receive an error message "Desination Folder Access Denied".

Is it due to my software being just a trial, and I have now used up my free trial? If I were to purchase a licence would the error go away? Or is it some other underlying issue?

Thanks

James

Hi James. Yes, if a trial version of DrivePool expires, it does become read-only (so your files are still intact and accessible) until you re-activate it with a paid licence.

If you open the user interface for DrivePool, it should display how many days you have left in the trial or that it has expired.

As Shane has said, if the Trial period is over, then it puts the pool into a "Read-Only" state. Meaning that it's contents can't be modified, and would give this error.

However, if the trial still has time left on it, and you are getting this error, then it may be because of a bad security setting that is preventing you access.
