No "on disk health checks"

John F

Question

Hello.
When connected with USB 3, Scanner tells me "on disk health checks are not accessible on any of your disks"
When connected with eSATA through THIS,  disk health function is available , however, only 3 of 4 drives are visible.

System;
 Win 10
Asus Maximus X Hero
Samsung 1 TB 970 Pro in M1      X4
Wd  500 in M2      X4
 2 x 4 bay Mediasonic non-RAID enclosure
WD Red drives
Usb3 connection
32gb memory

Thanks  :)

Yeah, that ... may be normal, unfortunately.  It may be how the info is being handled on the controller, and not being passed on properly.

for eSATA, what controller is it using?  If it's a Silicon Images controller, or jmicron, then this is normal, as they don't handle this properly.

Otherwise, it may be worth running the StableBit Troubleshooter on the system in question, when plugging into USB and eSATA, and checking the "Direct I/O" option on the Troubleshooter.

Use 3904 as the Contact ID/request when running it.
