Drivepool Removing Drive

FirstGeekDanny

Question

I'm trying to remove a drive from my pool and this application SERIOUSLY needs an "unattended" option.

I'm trying to remove a 4tb drive that's pretty much full, so I understand that it's going to take time, but it's going to take forever if I have to keep restarting it.

I've ticked all the boxes and it still keeps stopping.

Can we not set it to keep going unless it reaches the end or the power goes out?

Well, there sort of is.  The "Drive Usage Limiter" can be used to empty the drive, and then you can quickly remove the drive later.

Just open the balancer settings, and then open the settings for this balancer.  Uncheck both options for the drive in question, and save the settings.

This should move data off of the drive, and will continue to do so, even if it reboots.
