Scanner activity log?

Looked through the forums here and didn't see it posted elsewhere.  Do we as users have access to any kind of readable activity log for Scanner?  Rather than just trusting it's doing what it's supposed to be doing, the SysAdmin in me wants to actually go and confirm that.  File system tests, sector tests, Smart updates, etc.

The service log would be where that stuff is logged.  

But no, there aren't any "reports" generated at this time.
