0 Christopher (Drashna)
Was this 2012 R2 Essentials "transitioned" to standard? Or 2012 R2 Standard with the Essentials Experience installed? Or is this just 2012R2 Standard?
0 easyrider
Hi Drashna, It was 2012 R2 standard...I installed Drivepool then I installed Essentials experience. Thanks
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Okay, That may be the issue then. It may be having a "detection issue". I'll let alex know, and see if he can fix it.

0 Christopher (Drashna)
No, definitely not. And the Dashboard tab is basically just the normal UI in a tab in the dashboard. Speaking of which, on the storage tab in the dashboard, is there an "Advanced: Manage DrivePool" link in the "tasks" bar on the right side? 0 otispresley
You can try going to Help >> Safe Mode Settings in the dashboard and see if DrivePool is there and is disabled. If so, you can enable it from there.

0 Christopher (Drashna)
Just to confirm, this is Server 2012 R2 Standard with the "Windows Server Essentials Experience" role installed, correct? If so, then that is the issue. The method we use for detection ... well Microsoft moved the files around. They reside in C:\Windows\System32\Essentials when you install the role. But on 2012R2 Essentials, they appear in C:\Program Files\Windows Server\Bin (as per all previous versions). I've confirmed that this is an issue and have brought it to Alex's attention. 0 Christopher (Drashna)
Was DrivePool installed before or after the role was installed? If it was installed before, then try reinstalling it and see if that fixes the issue. If it was installed after and didn't create the dashboard tab, let us know. And thanks for spreading the word! 0 easyrider
Yeah....Install essentials role then Drivepool...All seen in the dashboard now
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Okay, that would do it then. It's during the installer that it checks for the "Windows Server" folder. It doesn't "appear" if you install the role afterwards.
