Carlos68 Posted August 13, 2025 Posted August 13, 2025 Hi Just done new build and installed scanner and I am getting the message "The on-disk health checks are not accessible on any of your discs (Only have the OS drive at the moment Samsung 970 NVMe) I have done a search and tried the advanced setting options (unsafe, NoWmi) but it has made no difference, controller is Intel RST VMD Controller A77F which is part of Intel's Rapid Storage Technology driver Same drive was reading smart data fine in my old Windows 10 build but obviously with a different controller. Any ideas how to resolve this as I am yet to add all my other drives for the drivepool and I'm guessing they will have the same issue ? Thanks Quote
Shane Posted August 16, 2025 Posted August 16, 2025 Perhaps try the Ignore Checksum option under SMART in the Advanced Options (suggested by Lewpy, who also notes it can take a little while to take effect after being set)? Quote

Thanks for the reply, Ignore checksum was already ticked so no go unfortunately, I did connect all the drive pool drives and they all read smart data just fine also added another NVMe and that also reads smart data strangely apart from 2 of the pool drives they also all use the same controller as mentioned in the first post so it seems its just an issue with the Samsung drive ? Christopher (Drashna) Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 If you wanted to open a ticket, we can follow up more directly. However, if you have tried the unsafe directIO, noWmi and ignore checksum options and it's still not getting SMART data, then it may be the controller or the drive that is the problem here. Quote
