Question

Hi, I get a duplication warning. I already removed the files, but after remeasuring the pool it is still visable. Ticking 'Resolving by removing the older parts' doesn't help. I also saw the 'sollution' of creating of dummy file. That didn't help either.

Since my system is Dutch, I will translate the sentences:

File 1: Bestand delen verschillende: this is a weird sentence, it would translate in the weird sentence: "File share several/different"

The other files: De bewerking is geannuleerd. = The proces/operation was canceled.

Does someone know what I could do to get rid of this message?

Also, in the upper left corner: there is a message "invalid folder name" which could be because after I removed file 1 I removed the folder too in which the file was.

Perhaps try the following commands in order as an administrator (replace "p:" with your pool drive)?

  • dpcmd refresh-all-poolparts
  • dpcmd reset-duplication-cache p:
  • dpcmd remeasure-pool p:

Then from the GUI -> * -> Troubleshooting -> Recheck duplication...

Thank you for your answer. I did all the steps:

>dpcmd refresh-all-poolparts

All pool parts were refreshed.

>dpcmd reset-duplication-cache d:

dpcmd - StableBit DrivePool command line interface

Duplication cache cleared on pool 'df91e40a-9a79-437a-884f-1c27a81e64e8'.

>dpcmd remeasure-pool d:

dpcmd - StableBit DrivePool command line interface

Version 2.3.13.1687

Pool 'df91e40a-9a79-437a-884f-1c27a81e64e8' is queued for remeasuring. Remeasuring will happen in the background and may take a while to complete, depending on how much data is stored on the pool and the current disk activity.

After I clicked the "recheck duplication" I still get the duplication warnings and the "invalid folder name" in the upper left corner.

Are there other options I could try?

When you say you removed the files, just to be clear, do you mean removed the files entirely or just the older/invalid instances of those files?

I would check that those files are completely removed (whether deleted or just temporarily moved out of the pool) and if the problem persists after another recheck of the duplication I would suggest opening a support ticket with StableBit.

Thank you, I dubbel checked, the files are removed from every disk. Thanks for the suggestion for opening a support ticket. I just did that succesfully.
