AlexStJohn Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Running Windows Server 2019 and my C drive SSD died. What is the best way to reinstall my operating system on a new drive without having an adverse effect on the 9 drives in the pool? Quote
1 Shane Posted February 14 Posted February 14 If you're reinstalling on the same hardware it should recognise your existing Activation ID. If it hasn't done so, you can use the ID you originally received from StableBit. If it returns an error, you should contact StableBit (select Support -> An issue with licensing) supplying the email address you used to register and they can resend it. You can also, or may already have, linked your Activation ID to a StableBit Cloud account, in which case you can find it there. Quote
0 Shane Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Hi, reccommended is to shut down, disconnect the drives that make up the pool (so you can't accidentally format/install the OS on those drives), reinstall the OS, reinstall DrivePool, shut down, reconnect the drives, DrivePool should detect and mount the pool. You may need to re-enter balancing and placement settings, and make sure Read Striping is disabled. Quote
