Yesterday, for an unknown reason my server became un reachable so i had to force a reboot on it. ifter that reboot it became impossible to open de drive.

Here is the error :

post-4612-0-84661700-1488451785_thumb.png

It says :

What i see in drive manager :

You posted a ticket about this, and I've already answered there.

But let me answer here as well.

Any time that the drive shows up as "RAW" like this, it happens because the file system has been corrupted. And not just the file system, but the partitioning information specifically.

In some cases, a disk check can fix this issue, but that isn't always the case.

For a ReFS volume, this becomes even more complicated, because you don't get the full range of tools that you can use for NTFS volumes.

Specifically, you'd want to use the "Repair-Volume" powershell command here.

And even more specifically "Repair-Volume -DriveLetter H -OfflineScanAndFix"

If this doesn't fix the issue, then the option here would strictly be data recovery.

Want to chime in here and say that this just happened to my ReFS drive as well. It's showing up RAW and Windows will not access it.

Edit: Mine happened today. So not the same day. Will open a ticket with logs.

Edit 2: I actually just destroyed the drive. I didn't have anything irreplaceable on it. So no ticket.

Windows 10?

The reason I ask, is that I've seen reports on and off for a while now off secondary drives coming back with issues (like this) in general. Not a CloudDrive specific issue, but a Windows 10 one.

That said, I don't want to assume that this is the issue without confirming it.

In this case, could you upload the logs from the system, by using this tool

I should have grabbed logs...but I completely wiped the system and started over (With WS2016 and NTFS) after the corruption. I apologize. I was just frustrated and wanted to get started on a rebuild.

This is to say, I have no logs to give you, unfortunately.

Not a problem.  And I definitely understand.

If it does happen again, please do get the logs right away.

And these logs are more than just our logs. If you select the option, it gets a bunch of system data (such as the event viewer logs) that are incredibly helpful in diagnosing "weird" issues like this.

(and we only use these logs for diagnostic purposes)
