Spider99
I guess it does not matter - but was curious how DP decides which files need deleting when you change the folder duplication (re organising my pool and need a bit of extra free space to make it easier)
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Alex confirmed which: The files are removed from the disk with the lease free space, first. So if you're trying to free up space, this may be the specific type of behavior you want.
0 Christopher (Drashna)
.... I'm honestly not sure. I want to say that it's based on the usage of the drive, and the balancing settings. (It may be as simple as the first copy that is enumerated is deleted, or the last). But I'm not really sure. I will ask Alex (the Developer) about that. 0 Spider99
cool thanks - i think i am seeing that - with so many drives a little difficult to say for certain man it takes a long time to remove a drive thats got a lot of data on it - why cant all drives be as fast as ssd's
0 Christopher (Drashna)
Well, I asked him directly, and he checked the code. So that's specifically what is designed to happen. And I totally hear you! That's why I set the "Drive Usage Limiter" balancer to clear out a drive in the background and then remove it when it's empty.
