Unable to delete a second pool

pettakos

Question

I recently created a second pool at the same hardware under the same license consisting of a single spare drive that i had lying around. Today, I decided to delete the second pool that I have created and remain with the initial one. How am I supposed to do that. Is there an option somewhere, cause I tried to remove the drive and nothing happens. B.t.w. there isn't any data in the pool nor the drive, so if a force removal is indicated I wouldn't mind at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may take a while to remove the disks from the pool, as it needs to shuffle data around.

However, if you don't mind "quick and dirty", we have a guide for that:

http://wiki.covecube.com/StableBit_DrivePool_F1655

This will essentially "merge" the contents of the two pool.

If the second pool is empty, it should just remove the drive.

However, if it's giving an "Access is denied" error when removing it, then try installing this version:

http://dl.covecube.com/DrivePoolWindows/beta/download/StableBit.DrivePool_2.2.0.740_x64_BETA.exe

Otherwise, deleting the empty "PoolPart.xxxxx" folder on the drive and restarting the service (or computer) should "unpool" the drive.
